Our client had recently bought this house and wished to reconfigure the first floor layout
making it more efficient. He aslo wished to remove a conservatory that was overheating in
summer and cold in winter and add a two story extension, to provide a master suite and
new sun room.

The entrance hall is restored with a new staircase, and the first floor layout is simplified and

provides extra bedrooms. A new kitchen allows views to front and back garden allowing
supervision of the children in the garden.

The thermal performance of the house is improved with insulation to be added to the roof
and under suspended floor a lining of the dormers. Photo Voltaic Panels are being added to
the south facing dormer roofs to provide electricity along with a generous feed in tariff.
