A trip to the Cotswolds
Yesterday, John enjoyed a trip to the Cotswolds, where one of our Passivhaus retrofit projects is currently underway. The sun was shining, making it the perfect day to assess the progress and catch up with the team. It’s always inspiring to see how these projects evolve, and this visit was no exception.
The transformation since our last visit just a month ago has been remarkable. The work at this point focusing heavily on preperation and preparing the structure for the rebuild to push forward at the next stages.
Passivhaus retrofits are always challenging, but they are incredibly rewarding. Retrofitting an existing building to meet Passivhaus standards requires meticulous planning and execution, especially when working within the constraints of older structures. Yet, the benefits are substantial: drastically reduced energy consumption, improved indoor air quality, and unparalleled comfort for the occupants. It’s not just about making the building more energy-efficient; it’s about creating a home that is healthier and more comfortable to live in.
Seeing the progress on this project is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the client and site team. We’re excited to see the final result and John promises to keep us up-to-date with trips to the Cotswolds.
