Austwick Lane

Austwick Lane is a red brick detached house built around 1996 in Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes, with a distinct modern character. The clients wished to generate more space through building a new rear extension and rearranging the ground floor layout. The resulting work has created a light and airy space which acts as a filter to the garden.

The design follows the Passivhaus principles in reducing long-term energy consumption and has been driven by the findings of a PHPP options report. This report has enabled the clients target areas which will have the greatest impact on improving their comfort while building work is being undertaken.
